Night Nurse -active ingredients?
For Night Nurse medicine it is stated on NetDoctor
"Night nurse capsules and liquid contain three active ingredients, paracetamol, promethazine and dextromethorphan."
"There are currently no other medicines available in the UK that contain this combination of active ingredients" is there some sort of patent /restriction/monoploy for Night Nurse

paracetamol - for pain and fever
promethazine - antihistamine, can help dry up a cold but used mainly for sedating effect
dextromethorphan - cough supressant
There are plenty of medicines which contain paracetamol, antihistamine and cough supressant. No idea if it's just down to personal choice of the manufacturers or whether it's a patent though.
