Can anyone help diagnose this problem?

Chaps,
Those of you who follow the Pedal Powered forum will know my friend and I were toying with the idea of doing the London to Paris bike ride, until he started having a few health problems.
If any of you have any idea's as to what is wrong, please let me know- I have sent him this link and he will be watching this thread!

I get a spot, similar to a whitehead spot that these greasy teenagers have on their face which are full of puss.
In the beginning I noticed they used to be full of puss with a black thing in it which looked like a scab or something but now they are just all white. Sometimes when I get these spots they go by themselves, if they don’t get irritated. But if they burst or get irritated (being in an area that moves and rubs against something else a lot) it gets infected and is very sensitive and fills with puss over a couple days.
The docs say it’s down to blood/sugar levels that make me prone to blood infections. I have had a blood test done for diabetes but nothing came up. One connection that I’ve managed to make is that when I drink a fizzy drink full of sugar I seem to get these spots within the next day or two.
I don’t drink a lot of these but occasionally have one on the weekend (say Saturday) then my Monday I get a spot. Docs have told me to use magnesium sulphate on them which sucks out the puss which helps a lot but every time I squeeze the puss out, I have to leave it for a while to build up more puss then squeeze it all out once again. After a couple days of this it clears up by itself. I have been on 2 different types of antibiotics and they help but when I come off them I get infected once again.
I haven’t had an infection or taken antibiotics since December last year and now I have another. The docs also said It may be down to my skin drying up and when it does, the skin cracks and the bacteria gets into the crack in the skin and causes an infection. If this was the case then why aren't they all over my body? they have given me a bathing oil to use whenever i wash but it doesn't help. it's called balneum plus something. i did notice though that my electrical fan heater made it worse so i got rid of it. maybe it's just coincidence? The main place I get them is the back of my leg, which makes it hard to walk sometimes, especially when the wound is open or full of puss and sensitive still. I have had them on my right arm pit, chest and back of the neck before also but they mainly occur on the back of my leg.
