Every morning I wake up I feel horrendously sick, sometimes I actually go to the toilet to be sick it is that bad, never actually am sick and it passes after about 1/2 hour and no it's not pregnancy, this has been going on for over a year, could it be a build up of acid?

Anything I can drink before bed to prevent this?

I get this as well, not every morning but most mornings (I'm female & not pregnant either).

I found that through the summer last year when I was drinking more fluids (lot's of squash & water) I stopped feeling sick in the mornings but my intake of fluids has dropped through the winter and I've started to feel sick again in the mornings.

Possibly related but I'd be interested in any suggestions.

Hmmmmm the bottom part of that is exactly what happens, I have a irriating cough and loose my voice really easily - that could be smoking related though...

Almost certainly smoking related and has nothing to do with your gender ......you know its time to become a non-smoker !!!!

For as long as I've known my mother she's always had acid indegestion, so would never eat after a certain time of day and would be very careful with her diet. Until about two years ago after an encounter with the doc on another matter who diagnosed the above. "We've got some pills for that" he said.
Cured over night, eats like a horse whatever she wants now. Completely life changing.

It could well be dehydration. Do you sleep with bigger/ more blankets over Winter?

Try drinking a large glass of water before bed. You may well wake up needing a 'comfort break' but lessen the amount you drink till you find a good balance.
I was thinking dehydration, too.
