Anyone else get days where you can't stop eating?
Discussion
I have a very stable calorie intake and outake (the subject of my last thread on here actually), but every now and then totally out of the blue I get days where I get unstoppably hungry constantly. Today I'd eaten a massive breakfast and two lunches by 1pm, and I'm about to start on my dinner now, having tried extremely hard to stay off food for two hours and got a headache as a result...
Does anyone else get these weird days, or know what causes them?

Usually hangovers in my case!
I will eat tons of food, not necessarily junk food, with a hangover. Monday was 5 sausages, beans and chips for tea when I would normally be eating tons of veg and something healthy. Think I had a sandwich when I came home, considered a bowl of cereal as well and had a tunnocks log with my morning coffee, which I never ever do.

Are you exercising hard Rob? Because I do and I too have days when I can't seem to satisfy my need for food too.
And other days are you eating enough? I try to eat well 6 days a week and then one day I eat whatever I like (within reason) and this helps me no end.
I'm exercising reasonably hard (an hour's brisk walk a day and usually swimming or circuit training, and then kayaking or cycling at the weekends), although my calories are balanced intake and outake. And other days are you eating enough? Very occasionaally and it is usually a prelude to going down with a cold or similar.

Being even slightly dehydrated seems to trigger hunger rather than thirst for me a lot of the time. Could possibly be that?
It can be tricky to discriminate between hunger and thirst, which sounds stupid but is a common reason why people tend to over-eat.
It took me a particularly long time to get the hang of that and various other bodily messages.Seems to be associated with poor proprioception.

I occasionally have similar days. I'll eat before training (05:00), then just after and then a snack (@ 10:00) before lunch @ 12:30. Normally That'll keep me but sometimes I'll have to eat lunch early at 11:00 and then eat again by 14:00 and dinner (early) at about 17:30 and then even more before bed. It's not dehydration (I drink like a fish), just an insatiable hunger for food (and it's proper food too, it's not like I'm getting a huge sugar rush and then crashing 30 minutes later).
Other days I'll eat, train, eat and then not feel hungry for the rest of the day.
Weird, but 'enjoyable' non the less.
It's the days when I fall asleep at 19:30 that annoy me..
