My snoring is apparently becoming a bit of an annoyance for the Mrs and I'm going to have to do something before she kicks me out..

Do any of these sprays/nose clip things or anything else actually work?

Are you a FB or have a fat neck? If your overweight and your snoring is bad you may have sleep apnea where you stop brething briefly in your sleep. If you suffer from headaches and severe tiredness during the day you may have it. Thankfully it can easily be rectified by a Cpap machine.

On a more productive note, ive been using breathe easy nasel plasters for a while, wife tells me they do help but dont stop it, today ive bought a " good night anti snoring ring" at the ideal home show, we will see how it goes!

ooh err Mrs!

Good luck with that, whatever it is...

I reckon my first step is to loose some weight. I'm not hugely overweight, but I could do with losing a bit - and my neck probably is about a 16, which seems to crop up in snoring info.

Sleeping on a Cpap machine! No there's an incentive to lose weight.

Boots sell a mandibular advancement device for about £30 that will lift your lower jaw away from your tonsils when you're asleep.

Works for my missus and her father, both of whom snore like pigs. (although they bought theirs from the dentist at £200)

Alternatively, buy the 3M earplugs from Boots and give them to your missus. Mine doesn't like wearing her MAD often as it hurts her teeth sometimes, but the earplugs work for both of us.

If you're overweight and it causes snoring, there's an obvious solution there. Also, if you tend to drink a lot of alcoholic drinks, that can cause snoring. Again, another solution there. OTOH if you have a serious medical condition, might be worthwhile seeing your GP.
