Hi guys,
I'm off to Florida in 5 1/2 weeks time and want to lose as much weight as possible before then. What's the best way to do this?

In hindsight I should have thought of this before but the holiday has almost crept up on us.

Thanks

The Ultimate Diet 2.0 has all the diet help you need. It's written by Lyle McDonald one of the worlds most respected in this field. If you google there are lots of download links to the PDF.

All the best!

To be healthy you probably should only aim to lose about 11pounds or so, much more than that and you'll probably struggle to keep it off. Besides unless you are the size of a whale or going to the beaches you will be skinny.

Please note: the UD2 is an advanced diet for advanced dieters and is only for those seeking very low levels of body fat. A male should be at 12-15% body fat or lower and females at 21-24% body fat or lower prior to considering the UD2. As well trainees must have at least 6 months of consistent training in the weight room under their belt before they even consider the UD2.

Why?

I know plenty of folk who have had fantastic results doing this who have never dieted before. Anyone can do this just don't take any of the substances mentioned in the guide but hey thats just common sense.

What I am primarily interested in is the idea of dieting while improving sports performance.

Well thats what that diet is all about, retaining muscle and performance whilst reducing bodyfat.

You should check out his other work, he has produced great results with people he has trained.

Thanks. For most dieters, they just want to lose weight irrespective of health problems.

The info in this book is mind-blowing. Maybe everyone else already knew it all but the depth he goes into about hormones and cell structures!!

I find it amazing and I've read that book several times! Other dietary stuff is often a half truth and will shield the user from the honest truth, UD 2.0 does not do that. It's brutally honest about what works the most effectively.

His other work is just as good but most will find the UD 2.0 the most interesting as its in keeping with their aims.

Will Brink also produces great work and videos although most of his stuff is more high level.

Eat a banana every day, and a can of tuna. That'll lose you a bit of weight.

Simple really. Consume far less than your BMR per day and you'll lose weight.

Losing lots of weight over a short period is very easy to do - it's keeping it off which is the hard bit.

My ex-flatmate once went from 14 stones to 12 in 5/6 weeks by having Eggs for breakfast, chicken breast and lettuce for lunch and broccoli with either chicken or turkey breast for dinner. He used to have 2 low carb protein shakes mid morning and afternoon and snacked on a particular type of cheese. He did this religiously, without missing a day for a month+ and ended up looking great. He also did around 30 minutes of light jogging 3 times a week. Kept it off for a few months after that however 6 months later, as his old eating habits came back he put it all back on.

So if you're doing it for a holiday, why not.
