Hi guys,

Does anyone here use their powerbar with a resistance band (for additional support)? Has anyone had any accidents using a powerbar in general? I have had mine for a while and looking to start using it but just wondered how safe they where.

There was a thread about 2 years ago on it. I've been using it 1-3 times a week (depending on proximity to a day's climbing). I have been doing pull ups, leg raises to head height (so pelvic bone is closest to the ground), half-planche rows (bring knees up to chest then curl body so your shins are horizontal to ground ie lower back is closest to ground), horizontal rows with ropes attached to the bar - no probs at all. I'm only about 10.5 stones, though...

I spoke to the company when I bought mine - need to be < 20 stones; hanging anything off the lower bar is dangerous. All the weight must be applied to the upper bar.

I would have thought so! As I mentioned above, due to the mechanics do not hang off the lower bar against the door frame.

You might also want to put cloth or padding at all points of contact with wood to avoid indenting the frame.
