Help me increase my pull ups
Discussion
Just keep doing them. Maybe "assisted" ie use your feet on a chair to offer some support. Also try dead hangs with arms fully locked and at 45 degrees and 90 degrees. I have one friend who couldn't do a single pull up but with practice of the above, she can now do 10 pull ups... which is more than you.

You need to start doing them with extra weight on, using a weight belt etc. Your number will drop at first till you get used to it but after a period feel a lot easier when doing them without.
This is good..Start working those fast twitch fibres.I alternate between sets of 20 bodyweight, then 4x8 with a 17.5 kg dumbell.Month by month.
If you start with, say,an 8kg weight stuck under a belt/whatever you'll be able to gauge what weight you will need to rep on to reach the
equivalent of 20 bodyweight.Do negatives when you fail as well.
