Shadow top of vision in the dark
Discussion
Hi all,
To cut a long story short, a group of thugs beat the s
t out of me at the weekend, leaving me with a lot of bruising and swelling, a v. bloody shot right eye and a fractured eye socket on the right hand side. My vision is fine, except in the dark if I look up I get a shadow in the top of my right eye's field of sight. I think this could be because my eye is a bit swollen, but I don't really have any idea so hoping somewhere here does? Do I need to go to A+E (again)?
TIA,
HH

Sorry to hear about the assault, I hope they've got the person that did it. Hope you aren't too sore and are managing to get on with things.Regarding the eye, I Would see if your local hospital has an eye casualty, I would be worried that you may have the beginnings of a detached retina. Patients normally complain of a curtain coming down across their vision, not sure why it's only in the dark though, best to get it checked.
