Last few months i've made major changes to my food and exercise regime in order to lose weight and get fit. Started at 24 stone and aiming for 17 stone- currently lost just under 3 stone.

My routine is to eat 2400cals per day (with a BMR of 3200 cals) and get through 3300 cals in exercise, giving a 8500 cal deficit per week and thus lose just over 2lb per week.

Last couple of nights i've been to my usual brit mil fit training sessions- 1 hour of highly intesive calistehnics. To be honest last two sessions have been the toughest in 3 months- worked my arse off- and fealt totally knackered when we finished.

Woke up this morning feel shakey, shivery, having the sweats and alternating between hot and cold. Feel very drained, and not very with it.

So could this be down to a heavy training session, or have i picked up a bug?

Sounds like a bug I had recently. But don't let that stop you seeing the quack.

Sounds like a bug, but if you are working your arse off and then not feeding your body enough for it to recover then i would think you will lower your immunity and be more susceptible to bugs.

Are you training every day? You need to give your body a rest to recover

training 3-4 days a week, and doing 2 long walks at the weekend (circa 12-15 miles with a pack).
