Seeing as DJC is otherwise engaged, and the boss is busy playing at motorbikes, i shall open Bar Depression early this year.

Mike Ashley, what a prize prick, i can only hope someone chins him on tyneside, and he's found floating up the Tyne, nobhead. So, pints of "Oh FFS" lined up on the bar for all Toon Army members

Another day, another panto.

Barton may not be the best liked player in the land, but he put a decent shift in for us and will be missed. A huge blow to the first eleven.

Can we not get Ashley linked to Al Quaeda or something?

Yep, hopefully we can. Another season of underachieving again, and Pardew will carry the can for it this time. How long before we can't attract another manager, due to that fat wker's antics??

Boss, the *cough* scouse room has been reserved for you

Im relatively optimistic this season actually smile

As such, rather than my usual "patron" seat at the bar next to the tv, I shall be out back in the beer garden with a pint of Exmoor Gold enjoying the sun.

What do you serve a Swansea City fan in here?

A pint of "Straight Back Down" or "Do a Derby" is probably appropriate...

...but I will have a "Enjoy it While it Lasts" please!

you did better in the games he played in than the ones he didn't.

I've just read that he ahd been amde to train alone...is the like very recent last 48 hours or longer?

Curbs doesn't strike me as that sort of manager - is this all MAs doing?

if so not great imho.....straight out of the Howard "how not to treat a player" Wilkinson playbook...

We have a special brew for you Swansea fans, which the first one is on the house. Here, try this, it's called "Cold, hard reality of life in the premier league"

Nom De Ploom, i think this is a direct result of that fat wker mike ashley getting his nickers in a twist over what Barton said on Twitter, rather than Pardew's fault. And yes, it all happened in the last 48 hours

Sorry i am late, didn`t realise you had opened early!

CC, being as our talent is zero, it wouldnt take much ambition to better it, however, we do look to be severely lacking in ambition too.

Jesus, we have barely kicked ball yet! We have sliced it a few times though.

Reading Pardews quotes of the past week or two it appears he had no knowledge of any of this. To be fair, this has the stench of Ashley all over it.

Harper, Enrique and a couple of others to follow.

Get rid of anyone with a dissenting voice seems to be the MO of this lot.

We'll have a club full of players who care only for the cheque at the weeks end. Not a great surprise, when the owner clearly feels the same way.

A sad state of affairs.

is it a coincidence that Newcastle were the only "club" not to reveal matchday prices in the recent survey or did they not get that memo?

No idea.

I did wonder how a pie was £4 at Arsenal mind you.

They were listed, equally cheapest/value for money with Blackburn, if you believe it......

New Bar rule...staff must at least start the season optimistic for their own clubs. Our punters are depressed enough as it is!

Unless the staff in question are Newcastle fans, and there is, or should be, special dispensation for us, for having a proper scopie as an owner
