I find this story very interesting indeed.

Apparently Brazil has a law about alcohol sales in football stadium as part of its battle against hardcore violence by fans at matches. This apparently was a law set in stone and was planned to be applied during the World Cup as well. FIFA has now come along and said that this is not an option and forced them to recinde the law for 2014.

Hardly a suprise given who one of the largest tournament sponsers is.

Is not something FIFA should of [erhaps considered when picking host countries?

And more to the point what happens in Quatar in 2022? As far as I remember they're not even allowed a bottle of fizz on the podium for the GP in Baharain so how is beer at football matches going to work?

I think there's going to be quite the culture shock come qatar.

I wonder if they're going to allow alcohol sponsorship if not consumption?

i cant see it happening either. if it happens in winter as they are saying, i cant see clubs letting players go or the countries own fa's postponing games! if it happens in summer the games will have to be played at 3 am in the morning or in air conditioned stadiums!

Won’t happen. As for the beer if it does happen i can see a culture shock for sure.

Playing at 3 am wont make any difference the tempreture rarely drops in the summer.

Cant happen, wont happen.
