Looks lightweight, full of bad decisions, unable to take on his man and generally ineffective.

What happened to the young superstar? Maybe it's because Oxlade-Chamberlain is coming through so quickly but he looks a better footballer to me.

The answer to that is yes, because he still looks like a 16yo with great potential

Yet another player that needs to go in the mass clear out that unfortunately wont happen.

Rumour has it last summer Wenger would have considered offers for him until CF and SN left.

You can only have a clear out if you have a buyer, i am not sure many managers would be chasing him, it would probably cost them their job

I don't think going to the world cup at the same time as taking GCSE's did him any good. Too much pressure and expectation. You would hope that a player like him would have learned more from the great man, I do see some of him in Walcott though but it is getting too late to hope something switches. No evidence of any real natural talent apart form pace. Perhaps he should try doing an andre agassi and spend some time with tony robbins. I think something is holding him back

At least he was once decent for a noticeable period of time.

Inconsistent is his middle name though.

One week a world beater, next week crap.

Wenger and his insistence on playing him on the wing.

He's a striker, not a winger with a box of tricks to run past a player.

You play him up front, play balls in behind the defenders and have him latch onto them with his pace. He's a good enough finisher at times to prove he'd be much better as a striker.

That said, he has one of the worst footballing brains I've ever seen and his first touch is absolutely woeful.

I think I can add Ashley (always hits the first man) young to the list...

both he and walcotts' crossing this season has been appalling....

I think I mentioned on another thread how poor the crossing has been in the prem this season - or are defenders just getting better?

I don't think so....does not bode well for england as I'm sure both will be on the plane

Not if we (Chelsea) trump it with a £50m bid.
