Is it me or should they not be allowed anywhere near football. At all. Ever?

That depends. Are you any good at football?

I'd agree, they are rubbish at it. Andy Townsend is useless, the commentators constantly scream and Adrian Chiles is woeful.

Yes Chiles hasn't got a clue he could be asking questions about basketball for all he knows.
Sky Sports is a bit better but I don't like the host on there neither.
'Oh you can present a tv show?'
'You'll do.'
'but i've never kicked a ball in my life. I don't understand the offside rule'
'don't worry, you'll only be on at half time. People will be checking other scores out then.'

fking Andy Townsend is stter than a st on a st heap. The ball hit O'Shea's hand from a maximum of 2 inches away and this thinks its a definite penalty.

ITV + any sport = fail.

Boxing- ha
Football- have a tendency to miss goals, crap commentators and Adrian Chiles- who is only marginally better then Garth Crooks on the BBC. The only thing they dont really **** up is the Champions League, but that is because the format is the same throughout Europe.
F1- "we will have ad breaks, but dont worry you wont miss any of the action"....but fore cutting to the aftermath of a crash, which we have just missed because of an advert for fking tena lady.

What I dont understand is this: ITV are woeful and the BBC is the state broadcaster. So, why do we have BBC3, BBC 1xtra, BBC 4, CBBC AND Cbeebies? BBc 3 & 4 are surplus to requirements. Cut the first three, merge the last two and BID on some full coverage sport.

Has a point, O'shea's hand was way up, and stopped the ball coming back across from the header....

Handball is only a foul if deliberate. Secondly, you can't jump with your hands by your side.

Lee Dixon was talking about that on MotD last week wasn't he?
Seems that no referees and no commentators know that's the rule. All commentators appeal (if that's the right word) for the penalty when it clearly hit the player.

All valid points, but his hand was over his head, HUNDREDS of penaltys have been given for exactly the same thing... I'm neutral so don't care either way, but I can why Townsend thought it could have been a pen...

Could be worse, could be Clive 'That night in Barcelona' Tyldesley. Southgate is probably about the only worthwhile one that springs to mind

ITV just don't do sport well at all IMO.
