"police arrested Pennant following a complaint that a woman had allegedly been assaulted at a Manchester city centre nightclub just under two hours prior to the accident"

Looks like it was more than just drink driving

Not enough brain cells to think of that. Throw away the key this time

Pennant is a complete tt - didn't he leave a Porsche parked somewhere in Spain then claimed he had no recollection of owning it?

Yep. It was, iirc, the one with his personal plate on something like P3PEN I think although I can't remember exactly what it was.

It seems as though Pullis & Stoke are going to 'protect' this cocktard. Why? He allegedly punched a woman, he drove his car whilst both drunk & disqualified from driving & he is a serial idiot.

More money than brain cells as with many professional footballers these days.

Furthers the thought that if they weren't playing football most of them would have been guests of her majestys prison service a few times now.

Except Rooney, I can see him a bricky for some reason.

Apparently he had to make a choice between Boxing or Football, for Utd's sake so glad he chose footy

Pennant is a prick, I would have given my right arm to have the required talent to play at a pro level and people like him just throw it all away, I hope they throw him away

Was he the guy featured in a TV documentary about footballers and their agents back when he was a teenager. I think he was on loan from Arsenal at Leeds. They'd put him up in a posh pad in Leeds city centre. Even then he had more money than he knew what to do with (less the handsome cut that his agent kindly deducted from his wages). He was the very subject of all that is wrong with the game and this was a fair few years ago!

NB: he'll no doubt get a warm welcome at Oldlags sorry Oldham FC when he comes out.
