...From the winners of the English Premier League.

I'd spit in their direction if I could be bothered.

Yes, because that would be classy.

Supporting the EPL for being English? I won't hold my breath.

As I said, I coulnt be botherd. I'm not a spitiing person, so the idea of spitting, which I coulnt be bothered doing anyway, is beneath me, if I could be bothered.

Struggling to follow the OP's logic on this one, by his logis the British flag should be raised for all winners in the Olympics because we should be celebrating them being held in London?

Sound more like sour grapes or odd racism to me.

Sorry - the EPL has been bought. I'd thought there would be a nod that it was the English league that had been won.

Racist? Seriously?

Has been pretty much every season since EPL started. Watch something else if you don't like it...

You were the one talking about spitting at non-English flags, apologies if I've misunderstood you it must be sour grapes then?

Ok, I'll admit it. You're right. What was I thinking that the EPL should be won by players or managers supporting the country where they ply their trade,

Sorry. It disgusts me. My opinion. We all have one, right or wrong.

Yes, opinions are like a***holes, we all have one. wink

I can't ever recall any team or fans waving England flags to celebrate winning the Premier League, and I can see why the fans would wave their team's flag and even why player's might wave their own nation's flag but why an England flag? Would your logic not apply to my Olympics example earlier?

I'm a Sunderland fan, who do you support?

Ah, but it would have been ok if basement bargains like r-Wayne or Rio had picked up the trophy.

I don't really understand the logic tbh. If England win the Euro's should they celebrate by parading a Russian or Ukrainian flag?

I'd pay it respect if it was on UAE soil/sand.

But would you purposefully wave it?

With the OP on this, Citeh buying the league is a bad sign for English domestic football. Citehs only competition will come from abroad and mark my words, by 2018 or so we will have a Euro Super League and the teams remaining in the domestic leagues will be mere training clubs for those in the ESL.

People may say Utd have paid top dollar for most of their players, but they have built up their fortune and status over many years Citeh and Chelsea became powerfull over night and with great fortune.

Citeh could have been Wigan, Bolton or pretty much any other team in England. The amount of Citeh shirts I'm seeing around is cringe worthy.
