Anyone else watching? It's on BBC ONE.

We're losing 1-0 to a Sandro goal at the moment.

We're passing it around fairly well, and have had a couple of chances so far.

Warning though: Mark Bright is co-commentating.

Interesting so far. Couple of quick points.

1.) If that Bertrand kid is English why the hell wasn't he at the Euros?

2.) Team GB need someone to come up with chants.

3.) Can you imagine how many trophies England might have won if Giggs had gone with us instead of the sheep-shaggers? Yeah I know this is basically a friendly but even though he's knocking on a bit he still passes the ball with such skill.

I am already bored. 2-0 down and plenty of time for more misery. Its like watching a League division 1 team playing a top premiership side. So Beckham is not good enough for this team eh ! rofl

I don't know too much about this, as when I thought i'd read up on it I got distracted* by the' lingerie super bowl IX'

hopefully you lot will be a bit more focused than me: what is the requirements for the GB team, is it 3 open age players, and the rest under 21? is there an amateur contingent, limited premier league etc?

I fully appreciate players who were at the Euros after a full season need a rest and that club managers are very reluctant to release important players like Bale, Ramsey etc. But i cant help but wonder if this really is the best squad pearce could produce. We have spent all this money and effort in hosting the Olympics why not make a real go of trying to put out a really competitive team.

Im almost certain that im missing the point of the team though as i dont see many people with the same opinion as me.

Got bored after the 2nd goal! Told the missus she could watch her soap.

Beckham should feel smug that he was dropped from the squad...

Pearce should have used the over age 'rule' and picked some top defenders like Terry and Ferdinand, and let the whippersnappers get on with it up the pitch.

What a load of ste. I fell asleep earlier watching this. Why didn't we put an actual football team together. I thought the aim was to try and win. I can only assume the proper team will start playing when the olympics start (please tell me im right) as this is only a friendly.

Because we don't have a team that can win.

If Olympic gold isn't the biggest thing you can win in a particular sport, then that sport should not be in the Olympics. Simples.

Olympic football. I wouldn't watch if it was England, but GB, a made up team that hasn't existed before and probably never will again, who cares? Really,....does anyone actually care?

I think it's a joke that football is an Olympic sport. Going by the ticket sales the majority agree with me. I think the carling cup has more credibility on a football level then a Olympic gold.
