“Build a bonfire, build a bonfire, put Rio on the top, put Anton in the middle, then burn the f------ lot”, believed to have been highlighted by the Fare as the most offensive.

Duckface and his brother are a couple of bellends. Not because they are black, just because they are.

John Terry is no better, and he's white. And so am I. Does that make me a race traitor? I might get an insultingly racist tweet off Duckface now.

Build a bonfire? Don't we do that every November, for people of any race, creed or nationality?

Why would England fans sing about Anton? And the 'we know what you are' chant. Was that in reference to what Terry said to Anton and then got done for by the FA for?

The bit I do find offensive is the putting someone in a bonfire and burning them alive. That they happened to be black and put into context with the Terry Anton Ferdinand issue alongside the we know what you are chant. Well even if I don't think it was racist I can see why someone else might.

Regardless, yet again the FA's inability to respond with speed doesn't help.

As far as I can tell from the reporting, it's because nobody can find any actual recorded evidence of the singing of said song.

The bonfire song has been sung for years on the terraces, I've heard it myself at Liverpool.

Mancs singing it about Scousers, I would have thought you'd have heard this one RT?

Yes of course the song is ofensive but is it racist? IMO any racist link it so say the least tenuous.
