I've met him, and his then girlfriend, she'd just had their first child, so fairly certain he's straight.

However he comes across on the TV I'd just say he's a really decent down to earth fella. A nice bloke.

A very intelligent footballer, easily able to read the game, even if he couldn't play it.

I'm not mad on a guy who has a couple of championship play off finals, appearances on Countdown & York Magistrates & not much else under his belt telling me how it is with elite footballers at the world's pre eminent tournament.

A very intelligent footballer actually who does alot of work for fellow professionals as part of the PFA. Yes he didn't reach the heady heights of the premiership but played alot in the championship and in the lower leagues.

Had his issues with alcohol and turned his life around and is a dedicated family man.

Not sure just because he can actually string a sentence together in a well spoken voice means he is gay?? Im sure he thinks the same about you.
