How do they afford to do this every year? Where do they get all this money?!

Part of it is TV money. There's no collective bargaining in Spain... each team negotiates their own TV rights, meaning Real and Barca get a massive share of the money.

The other part I believe, is some sort of weird (ie; dodgy) tax set up some clubs have in Spain.

They got the council to buy their training ground for £278 million ten years ago to wipe out their debts, I'm sure it was worth it!
