Yes, if you're Polish or German.

Banks first, Seaman a very close second. Best England team since the 66 World Cup is the Euro 96 squad. Certainly no team has come close recently.

The 70 world cup squad was better than the 66 squad, but the manager's arrogance lost us the quarter final.

As an Arsenal fan I wholehearted agree.

Gordon Banks was OK, but overrated, (imo)

As for "that" save against Pele, again, good but now't special......

I would go for Shilton, he would have had nearly 200 caps if it wasn't for Ray Clemence.

Of course, none of them came even close to BRITAIN'S greatest ever. Pat Jennings.

Saw an interview with him recently. He's put on a few pounds. 200, possibly.

He was rather handy between the sticks in the mid to late 70's and into the early 80's. By 86 though his time was past and Woods should have had the regular gig.

Catching crosses one handed. Nonchalently throwing balls way over the halfway line. Not today's balloons. But, proper, heavy, lacey ones. hehe

I met him last season. I was reduced to a gibbering wreck.

Well, there's no midfielder in that spine. Oh and the rest of the team were piss-poor.

He really was pretty bloody special...when you look at clips now he still looks as good as anything we see today whereas a lot of the play from that era looks laboured. He did't have the ridiculous gloves they have now either...he'd catch absolutely everything now!

Ahhh...Gary Sprake. He pioneered the art of diving in instalments, but it never caught on.
