Dressing room revolts that is. (Allegedly)

Ferguson has always said he needed total control, and always used to get rid of troublemakers in short order , and ruled the dressing room with an iron fist:-

(The Guv'nor')Ince, Robson, Stam, Beckham etc, etc...

Was Mourinho too soft?

Fergie didn't 'rule with an iron fist' but led his team with strength of character and removed players who disrupted the team.

Who knows about Maureen?

Fergie had almost total control at Utd. He wouldn't have had to keep a player he didn't want and the players knew that.

At Chelsea, every manager gets interference from the Owner, the Head of Youth Devt, the Technical Director. it seems the only person who doesn't get involved is the Chairman !

Ferguson was in a conducive environment to how he liked to manage.
Not going to happen now, but would have been interesting to see how well he did elsewhere, where the money is there, but comes with anything from serious caveats to total mentalist chairmen & owners. Could he cope and be successful with Abramovich and his vanity signings, or better still, the joys of El Presidente in La Liga?

Perhaps the biggest blot on his record (leaving aside any personal views).

Rooney and his agent had one over on Ferguson and Manchester United are still paying the penalty. (no pun intended)Huge wages for a has been.
He is mediocre at best nowadays but still commands a first team place and with England unfortunately, just like Steven Gerrard they keep getting picked way after their sell by date has expired.
