I don't particularly follow Spanish football, but was this expected? Came as a bit of a surprise to me.

I actually think it was to be expected almost as soon as they appointed him. They work in strange ways at that place.

No manager lasts long at Real, you need to win the title and Champions League and even then you are probably not safe!

Serves them right. Sacking Anchelotti to bring in Benitez, like giving Elle McPherson the push to go out with Kathy Staff.

With Barcelona being the team they are/will be over the next few years, I can see quite afew managers come and go at Real.
Why would anyone want the job? Money would be the only incentive.
Shame a club with that much history being in the position they're currently in.

It's the people above the manager that need changing, and how the club is run.
