Euro 2016 ticket - Can't go

Afternoon all

Last summer I managed to get 3 tickets for Euro2016. The game I have is Belgium vs Sweden in Nice. A few mates and I therefore booked a holiday around this. My brother another friend were going to be using my spare two tickets.

Since then things have changed very slightly (my wife is due to give birth to our first child 8 days after the game), so I am unable to go. Another friend is happy to go to the game in my absence.

According to the rules I must be there using one of the tickets. I've tried speaking to UEFA but it seems impossible.

Does anyone know if they actually enforce this? Does the fact that my brother shares my surname help?

Maybe an issue if they check your passport.

I know. The game is Belgium vs Sweden though, so at least I'm not letting my country down.

A few people I've asked say they never check, and the internet is full of people swapping tickets, so I'm hoping its not a problem. I'm just hoping someone with experience will confirm.

With all the extra security in light of recent events i think they will be paranoid on all things security. The authorities may well insist that all identies that go with the ticket allocation be checked
