Sad news. Is fondly remembered at sincil bank as both a player and a great manager. Set a league points record when in charge!

Arrived off an 11 hour flight on Thurs to see the news. As a Watford fan it's probably fair to say this has hit me harder than most.

GT is responsible for the fact we're in the PL now. In the 70s and 80s he took us from the old 4th division to 2nd in the first division, an FA cup final and Europe.

In the 90s he came back and took us from the 3rd tier to the PL.

A great man, he had so much time for the average fan. This can be seen in the form of lots of letters from him and stories of phone calls and hospital visits. He didn't just change our footballing history, he turned Watford in to a family club.

Gutted I can't be at Vicarage Road today to pay my respects. In fact, I can't even watch or listen to the game.

I can only hope Lineker and the MOTD crew give me some great highlights for my return
