This is my first draft of a team. I have gone no Bruno to fund my mega defensive trio of Raya, Gabriel and VVD. Other than that my terrible bench and the fact I can't afford João Pedro so have gone for DCL are the things I expect to bite me.

AI, X, Instagram etc. have all sucked the fun out of the game for me, so much so that I can't be bothered this year. Nobody needs to do any research or planning any more, you just go to your favourite social media platform and get told who to pick, when to use your chips etc. Teams all become very samey and "template". Also doesn't help that there's too many forward players classed as midfielders, which limits the number of strikers that anyone would actually want in their team to about 4, so again you get very little variation in squads.

I'm looking forward to the new season starting now. My bench is incredibly weak though, but that's how I like it though, because I get frustrated if I have too many points on it usually.

After a bit of deliberation which included Bruno F in my first iteration I realized the money would probably be better spent spread around for more points, at least until we see how Man U start. Landed on this squad for now, think I'm fairly happy with the balance.....



And this is starting for GW1....



Biggest doubt lies in how Citeh are going to perform, but I can't ignore Haaland obviously and Semenyo was electric last season. I'm going to ignore their CS performance given their fixtures *should* be winnable for some time, Utd & Liverpool excepted...

He's definitely feeling like a waste of 12 million in fantasy as you say currently. I have him, and I was tempted to captain him as well I can't lie.

44 too so far. 26 from CB's & Goalie... Pedro can score whatever but it matters little as almost everyone in my groups own him so it's a null signing in some ways...

Has anyone else not had their subs carried out yet?

I had two players not play a minute and neither have them had replacements brought on off the bench yet? The game week seems to be locked out now but has anyone else had this issue?

Same. But also I had a terrible game week, and I might just wildcard already
