FIFAs (or Infantino) is looking at putting all of Fifa’s commercial rights, spanning broadcast, sponsorship, ticketing, and licensing, would be privately owned under the plans.
Creating something called the Fifa Forward Enterprise (FFE) project with outside investment. Thrive Eternal, owned and led by billionaire investor Joshua Kushner, the brother of Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, will lead the “proposed investor group for FFE” all though they wouldn't have total control.
Uefa are obviously not happy about this.

EUFA should withdraw from any association with FIFA. The problem there is that means no European team can win the World Cup. What’s more likely is a split of governing bodies. It happens in a lot of sports, look at the amount of them in boxing. Interestingly golf split recently with LIV forming, which has a lot of Trump wheeler dealing in the background. That gravy train has come to a juddering halt now, so maybe he’s trying for a new run using his equally corrupt pal, Infantino. Edited by Opapayer on Tuesday 28th July 18:57

You are right to highlight at those sports you mentioned as examples of what happens when the spivs gain control. You can add F1 to the list as well.

I’m with you 100%, I was just highlighting the risk of UEFA walking away from FIFA and whether every national FA will stick with them. I hope they do, Europe is the definitive home of modern football at every level, losing them makes FIFA a weak organisation and other nations may join UEFA and leave FIFA / their continental governing body to make them even stronger. I would absolutely love to see uefa boycott FIFA. Absolutely poisonous organisation that appears intent on becoming even worse. You know things are bad when even Sepp Blatter is criticisng the current regime. I cannot see a world cup being considered a credible event without Eurpoean teams being involved. De-values it massively for any potential investors (sorry mr Kushner, thoughts and prayers) and you would like to think, could be the end of FIFA as we know it. We can but hope. I'd miss seeing European teams in a world cup for however long this takes to unravel. Seems like a very small price to pay.

Jokes aside it's not surprising and no shock factor either. My love of the "beautiful game" has long gone. I'll watch my own team out of habit but haven't made the point of tuning into the premier league or champions leagues for years now.

It's the same at every level, even the Premiership - I recall when the septic 6 wanted to set up their own 'super league'. Would have loved the remaining teams to have said 'crack on', we will set up our own. PSR is now achieving the same end.The whole of elite football is rotten from top to bottom, I'm rapidly losing interest in it.

Same as some on here, top level football is barely a sport anymore. I'll be spending more time and money watching my local non-league team this year. Much more entertaining

The 55 members of the UEFA Congress are on the same FIFA gravy train that all the non-EU FIFA members are on. As long as the money keeps flowing in, and the jollies keep taking place nobody will rock the boat. Smaller countries will be bought off with cash and freebies, larger countries will be bought off by hosting competitions. Both UEFA and FIFA have a long history of corruption, this is just another step on that ladder.
