Anyone here ever driven a legacy on a trackday? Either a twinscroll or a 3.0. I realise they are a big old barge and the things that make them great on the road (comfortable chairs, compliant suspension) wouldn't help on track.
I suspect the brakes would need an upgrade, possibly the cooling system, plus a baffled sump and uprated oil pump if I was doing it properly on the twinscroll. Again, if it was a turbo under-bonnet temperatures could be an issue, so heat wrapping or coating the turbo/exhaust.
Just wondered if anyone else had tried first...

I haven't used a twin scroll Legacy on track myself but would point you in the direction of Scoobyclinic for advice, if you haven't already contacted them or other Subaru enhancing specialists. They provide pretty much every kind of service for Subarus including track/rally/race preparation.

The rad is marginal for the 3.0 in really hot weather, so maybe the same for track. Dampers might be soft, brakes definitely.

They are ok on track but will need a bit of work to make it track ready.
A few members on the uklegacy forum take them on track days.

Thanks all, the more I look into it, the worse an idea it seems.

I love twin scroll, and I wouldn't mind a few laps in it if the opportunity cropped up.

Using it for a whole trackday? Absolutely not.
