Ok so I know its in the Science section, but I've put it here because you fine people seem to actually converse, not piss take.
The situation I'm in is this,I did statistics at schooland to be honest, there was a lot of it I didn't grasp. I am currently (with the help of textbooks and the library) trying to teach myself,as although I don't need it for work,I'd like to have that knowledge there. I seem to be doing ok with it so far,it seems to be sinking in,I'm solving problems correctly according to the textbooks, but when I create my own formulas/questions/answers etc, I have no-one to mark them, tell me how I went wrong. So what I am hoping for is someone with a bit of spare time that can answer an email once or twice a week and sort of 'mark' my work? I'm enjoying learning, and I feel that's the key to it sinking in,it would just be good if I knew that what I was learning was correct smile

I don't mind helping a bit. You might be better posting things up here though, that way anyone who happens to have a bit of time spare can contribute.

Hankyou very much. As I said, its just the basics for now as in standard deviation, sin cos tan etc,I learnt it all at school, but upon looking at a Statistics book recently I feel most of that knowledge has been lost.
Again,many thanks.

Sine, cosine, tangent etc are trigonometry not statistics. Stats is mean, median, mode, probability, SD, Poisson, Normal, Chi2 etc.

I use (insert topic) statistics made easy for lighter stuff and I think... (Insert topic) statistics at a glance for harder stuff. Really good simple books, concise and unintimidating.

I'm very happy to help. Statistics is pretty much my bag, man.
