In a recently released paper data from NASA's SABER project shows that CO2 has a cooling effect on the Eath contrary to most climatoiagists beliefs/agenda.

My thought is that if CO2 blocks IR coming in then it can also trap the IR from leaving too. The IR part of the spectrum is only a small part of the total energy reaching the earth, that and it was a high altitude study where the CO2 has little to transfer the energy to.
