The martian night imagery is spectacular - thinner atmosphere, no clouds, no light pollution etc. - great view of the milky way.
(I'm guessing they used a long exposure on the camera to get that but would be interesting to see what the human eye could pick up)

The human eye would pick up the same as it does ferom earth - but the stars would be less "twinkly" due to the thinner atmosphere.

That night time image has been, er, faked for want of a better term. (I won't upset Eric and call it 'fake news') biggrin

Sky not captured on Mars. Original image from a daylight shot. Shadows give it away. Rover cameras are not capable of taking that sort of image.
