And an AI powered F-16 has just beaten - comprehensively so - a human pilot (instructor too so knows his AC manoeuvres).

It's like no one who makes these decisions has seen Terminator

I think that was in a simulator- not a real flying F-16- but still, the point stands.

At the other end of the scale there was a garden robot a few years ago that collected slugs, digesting them for energy, so we’ve got the ability and the motive sorted now.
