Central locking problem
Discussion
The central locking in my 2012 Isuzu D-max crew cab pickup has just stopped working. This weekend the rear doors stopped responding to the button or key and now the front passenger door is doing the same - they all stay permanently locked.
The driver's door is currently working correctly and the lock indicator on the other three doors just makes a weak attempt at moving towards the unlocked position when I try to unlock. The same happens if the unlock button is pressed or the key turned in the driver's door (the only one with a physical keyhole).
Has anyone experienced this before? The fuse is fine and I'm guessing the solenoid/motor in each door won't have simultaneously failed on all three doors. Is there a unit somewhere that sends a signal (or voltage) from the driver's door locking mechanism to all the other doors?
Any help much appreciated!
Thanks...

Yes you are probably right - I was trying to find some paperwork on what the warranty actually covers.
Also the nearest dealer is a three hour round trip drive there and again to pick it up - plus a courtesy car while they do it. So I thought I'd try and avoid the cost and hassle of a day off work if I can just get a replacement relay or something.

Hi did you get to the bottom of your central locking problem on your D-MAX I have one that is doing the same three doors attempting to unlock only the driver door working as it should.
This kind of problem can (sometimes) be caused by a weak or discharged battery (the main battery, not the one in the remote or key), try charging the battery and then see what happens.Gassing Station | Home Mechanics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
