Tilt ramps and tyre balancer....I had a play.
Discussion
Just thought I would post these as I managed to mess about with them at our little workshops over the weekend. I have had the ramps for some time and never used them but they have helped a great deal whilst my friend stripped a dead Pug and for me to fit a new exhaust to my Forester. They do take some winding up with the handle in manual mode, but you can get a decent drill on the end once they are in motion to speed things up..
You can either get all four wheels off the ground at once, or just pivot the car and tilt it as you wish. With two of us, it was quite easy to tilt this Pug either way (bonnet in the air, boot on the floor or vice-versa)

I also purchased one of those bubble wheel balancers just to see how good / bad they may be. One of my Jag wheels felt like it needed some help in this department so I purchased some adhesive weights and gave it a go. The end result was pretty good actually! I cut down on 80% of my wobbles and I think another attempt (now that I have read the instructions) may dial out even more..

Different ramps can be had for around £250 / £300 but these ones still come in around £450. The bubble balancer was around £60.
