Getting a bit fed up of my Merc barge fleet needing their batteries charged up more often than they should, can anyone recommend a decent, good value model?

I use an Accumate on the TVR - I'm sure there are plenty of other brands which are just as good.

Over the last 20 years (and used for various cars, boats and motorbikes) I've had Optimate, Accumate and Ctek battery conditioners and they've all worked fine.

Purely out of personal choice, if I had to buy another one now, I would probably get a Ctek

Another one for Ctek, though if you have an Aldi near you, have a look at THIS.

A good cheap alternative. smile

CTEK. Does what it says, plus add in the range of well made genuine connectivity options, and it makes it a slick piece of kit to use.

Had a Ring one which worked ok but the wiring started coming out of the case. Literally just plugged my car into a Maypole one I bought off eBay for about £22, it seems well made and has plenty of charging modes. It'll be fine for topping up and maintenance charging over winter.

I've got a CTek one and am very happy with it. The "conditioning cycle" seems to be able to recover batteries that I'd have given up for dead a few years ago. smile
