The driver's seat on my sister's Corsa (2010) is stuck. It's not obvious what is to see what's stopping it going backwards and forwards so I thought I'd remove it to get a closer look. I have never done this before. Should I be wary of any sensors or electrical connnections?

There shouldn't be anything particularly hazardous there, but be aware that there may be some electrical connections to the seat and you need to be careful not to damage the wiring.

Thanks

I read somewhere that the battery should be disconnected?

Assuming you have either airbags or seatbelt pre-tensioners, then yes you need to disconnect the battery while any plugs are disconnected otherwise you will almost certainly reconnect & need a visit to your local garage to reset the codes you have now caused at best.

At worst you may have an exploding airbag/pre-tensioner in your face when you reconnect.

Happy ending. Managed to fix the fault without removing the seat.
