What type of electrical socket is this?

Wow - that was quick. Thanks very much!
Yes, it's identical to the 'Junior Power Timer' on this page. The housing is 051507, and I then just need two male terminals and a boot. I would never have guessed without asking.

Sorry, yes, it's the bright red light on the back of a single seater, for use in the rain as per FIA rules. It's not a normal tail lamp as on a road car - it's an ultra bright LED thingy:I want to race my car in a championship next year that require rain lights to flash, so I've needed to buy a different light that meets their flashing spec. The old light has a 6" piece of twin core flex terminating in a plug that attaches to the car's loom. The new light has a 6" piece of three core flex (+12V, flash, steady). I could buy a new huge great piece of 3 core flex, thread it through the entire car and then contort myself upside down into the tiny cockpit to fit a three position switch (off, flash, steady), but I thought it would be much neater and quicker to just wire the new light to the existing plug to permanently flash and bolt it on the back. If I ever race in a championship that require the old style of steady light, I just pop the old light back on.
