There are not many fluids that will leak from a car that look like water and aren't water. If you have air con, it would be normal for that to drop water when it's working.
If you want to make sure, you can confirm it's water by confirming it's clear, feels like water, no smell, and if it passes all those tests wet the end of your finger and then lick it. If it's tasteless, it's safe to assume it's water.

Obviously none of you have looked at the picture then!
What you are seeing is water dripping from a floor drain in the foot well. The water is obviously getting into the passenger compartment from somewhere.
Are there any peculiarities about the circumstances of the "leak"?
It could be from MANY sources.
Leaky window/door seal, leak from heater matrix, spilled water bottle amongst others.

I did, along with the description it is so poor I couldn't make out what it was although I can now. What you are seeing is water dripping from a floor drain in the foot well. The water is obviously getting into the passenger compartment from somewhere.

Floorpans are sealed, you can't get water dripping out unless you knock the bungs out and the carpet would be wet which he doesn't say it is.
It looks like water has been splashed onto it and is dripping off.

Id tend to agree with 227bhp, unless Im needing new specs nothing is clear from that photo.
Well I must be super observant or something, I can't see how it could be any more clear what you are seeing there.Extreme top right is what appears to be a jacking point, leading to the under-body/sill trim under the footwell and the weld for the sill/floor & centre-screen there is a "missing" floor bung with a run of liquid coming from it.

I think you're seeing what you want to see, which bung? There are two, both still there. The dark mark could be something which ran out of the hole during production and has set, especially as the run is going what is now near on horizontal. It's probably sealant for the bungs which are put in from the inside so they can't be pushed or pulled out from underneath.Extreme top right is what appears to be a jacking point, leading to the under-body/sill trim under the footwell and the weld for the sill/floor & centre-screen there is a "missing" floor bung with a run of liquid coming from it.
It looks like maybe the car has been beached recently on gravel looking at all the white marks, but it could be something else.
If I was a gambling man i'd go with condensate from the air-con being the answer, maybe it got splashed about a bit as it was coming out whilst driving, but I can't see any water in the pic.
OPs done a runner anyhow, so pretty irrelevant, probably feels daft for it being such a simple answer.
Hangs up deerstalker, puts kettle on and lights pipe.
