Borked removable towball.

Anyone have any tips for getting this tow ball off? The lock shaft has sheared. Simply a case of drillin it out?

And then, how easy might it be to repair it. :/

Can't tell what is what from that pic enough to say really.

What is the action of the "locking device" you have in your hand?

I would be expecting for there to be some kind of way of removing it from within, have you tried removing the allen screw in the pic?

I would be more looking to attach something to the shaft that has sheared off to get that out first.

Possibly a drill & tap job to screw a T-bar of some description to get the shaft out & then recover either with a manufacturer's part or something made up to do the same job.
