Wanting to add a vibration sensor to my mk4 golf, I think the current alarm is factory fitted but only has internal sensors. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Could I attach the sensor wire to the brown wire (hood alarm switch)?

The Hood switch and the Radio security switch are doing the same job, they switch an earth to the brown/red wire and that switched earth will trigger the alarm, note that the brown wire is earth.
Wire a vibration sensor into the Radio/Hood switch brown/red wire so that when it senses a knock it will switch an earth onto the brown/red wire and trigger the alarm

You haven't posted any info on what vibration sensor you have.
If you have a 3 wire sensor that has come with a diagram that shows those wires are to be connected to

Positive
Negative
Trigger

The positive wire should connect to the output wire from the alarm that becomes live when the alarm is switched on/armed
The negative should be connected to a good earth/ground point
The trigger wire connects to brown/red

You will benefit from being able to switch the vibration sensor off when you need to, perhaps hail stones, rain or kids kicking the wheels will give false alarms
Wiring a double pole single throw switch (DPST Switch) so that it switches the positive and negative on and off the vibration sensor as required will make it a job well done
If there is no alarm output for the vibration sensor (there should be), you can wire the positive sensor wire to a permanent positive at the fuse box and make sure to wire in a 5 AMP fuse, if you do wire the positive to the fuse box make sure you don't forget to switch the sensor off when not using the alarm, there is no point in having power to the sensor when the alarm is not switched on
