I have a 2007 pt cruiser (2.2 diesel)

The pulley on the alternator has come off, now is it easier to replace the pulley or the complete alternator ?

Either way it’s got to come out I think

I can’t do it myself, I don’t have the ‘know how’

I don’t have the tools

I have been on YouTube watching blokes change alternators, they don’t seem to have any problems doing it, but I don’t have a nice garage that they have 🙁

I live in West London (UB454JB)

Does anyone know of a mobile mechanic that could come over ? (supply and fit a new alternator or a new pulley)

I need this doing fairly urgently,

This chap in Portsmouth is great, however you’d probably have to get it to him. Does your breakdown cover allow for it?

I would just get the whole thing replaced.

It’s got to come out anyway.
