The other day I came searching for any recommendations for a half decent tool chest, but couldn't find anything. Anyway, I bought a SGS 26" Professional 9 draw 'top box' for £120 delivered.

While I've nothing really to compare it with, and it is early days, it all seems a nice bit of kit, well made and comes with drawer liners and a nice 'indent' on closure so while the drawers stay closed, you don't have to fiddle with undoing a clip to open them.

If I had one very minor criticism, it is that the 50mm drawers are a bit shallow for larger handled screwdrivers e.g. stubby style.

Oh and much to my chagrin, I've realised I've actually got a lot more tools than I thought, so will have to save some pennies and buy the roller cabinet to go with it!

I have seen plenty of different tool chests with roller bottom and top tower ones going for about £60 - £100 on eBay and Amazon including FREE Delivery.

And there were similar type and size ones in Halfords sale as well.

I wonder which one would be better buys.

I bought one of these a few Months ago
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tool-cabinet-cart-works...

It's a little flimsy but good enough for Home Use.
I have a Drawer full of Spanners/Sockets and you can feel it flex when opening.

I have a Halfords one at work (Fairly Lightweight Tools for IT Repair)
This one I think

I bought two of this Halfords 6 drawers tool chest for £115 each. Now I am able to store most of my tools in these two chests. Great value for money and not bad tool chest at all.
