Get your spanners ready because you will need to replace the propeller shaft and this will be quite a difficult job especially if inexperienced. Firstly the prop shaft is underneath the car so will need to be jacked up and even then it is not easy to get to. The drivetrain will also need to be removed first as the prop shaft is connected to the drivetrain and the prop shaft will not come off unless the drivetrain is removed. Also take great care when removing the prop shaft as you can damage the clutch if not careful. Also make sure you drain the transmission oil before removing the prop shaft.
The most important initial advice OP is to ignore this troll. Also posts as 'carguruguy'.
Thanks Paintman & Green V8 S ( I,m just finishing a resto MK 11 Grantura Will be of interest to you Peter ) so I,m not apposed to spanner work. The Mitsubishi problem is one I just thought would be a simple job for the local garage with a ramp.
Having had a look at the prop I assumed 4 bolts to undo drop the prop and slide the splined shaft out ,then replace the U J ,s
Now confused,Surely Mitsubishi wouldn’t design a none repairable Propshaft
