You don't really expect a diagnosis from that tiny little bit of information do you?

Might be.......Might not be.......

Does it run hot?

Is there any sign of fluid leaking?

The poor running could be any one/combination of lots of things.

If you can't diagnose it yourself I would advise you to walk away from it, re-commissioning a car that has been stood for years is a potentially massive job.

Just for starters all hoses would likely need replacing, all fluids will (aside of what you already know) all brakes/pads/bearings could be shot, exhaust won't be far behind, all suspension bushes will likely need replacing, and that little lot is just to get it through the MOT.

Check for black/burn staining on the dipstick as an indication of how hot it was getting when overheating. Overheating fix doesn't change the fact/possibility that it's already suffered damage due to past overheats...
