Fitting a water pump advice
Discussion
Back in the day when I last helped fit a water pump to a car (circa 1976 on my dads Morris Marina
) I'm sure we applied a Blue liquid gasket sealer onto the paper gasket before fitting.
Now I have to fit a new pump to my 2.7crd Grand Cherokee (MB engine) Its come with the paper gasket, but is the use of a additional sealant still required these days, and if so what would you use ?
Cheers

Blue hylomar spray is useful for applying a nice even layer, but pricey.

I'll get some blue hylomar as suggested.

As others have said it was that make. And I have found it spot on. Even a cakchanded fool like myself got it one first time and didn't cause a leak. Also used it when I had to take the sump off and put it back on. Again no leaks. Cheers
