Hi there i have an astra gtc vxr I bought last week, it's a 16 plate with 18,00 miles. Over the past few days it has developed this clicking/ticking noise. Its most noticeable when for about 15 seconds I first start the car and when I accelerate in 2nd 3rd and 4th gear. If I accelerate very slowly the noise isn't noticeable. I have a video here which is me accelerating in 3rd and 4th, the noise sounds like it is coming from under the centre console and is quite loud from outside the car. Any help would be much appreciated, I have been in touch with the dealership and am looking to get it in this week as it is still under warranty but would be good to get a second opinion on here as the dealership will probably try to feed me a load of bullst.

Sounds like maybe air escaping from one of the turbo or inlet pipes or something like that

I cant help you on the clicking noise, but I have one and it overall does not sound like that. Is it modified? It may just be the phone/mic, but it sounds like there is some boost leak or intake that mine does not have.

No it's not modified in any way as far as I know, I only got the car last week, I will have to look in to that now you have mentioned it thanks.
