Hi all,

Would rubber intake pipe with split in it cause any issues to the running of a vehicle.

The split is on the pipe before the TB, The MAF/MAP sensor is after the split, so technically it's not unmetered air?

I sprayed some carb cleaner directly around the split and the engine didn't do anything.

In short, yes.

My E46 had a tiny split in the intake pipe that caused an engine management light, dodgy maf readings and hesitant acceleration.

See if it has any pending codes. Mine from memory were p0102 and p0104 but not 100% on that.

You've pretty much nailed it.
Only issue is the air is unfiltered. Put a bit of duck/duct tape on it.
