Not sure this is the best Forum for this, but I reckon there are a few people here who may be able to help...

Can anyone identify this spring collet? It’s out of an old, eBay, mini milling machine and I can’t work out what type it is. Dimensions are:
- 0.52” at widest point
- 0.42” across the narrower ‘neck’
- 0.57” total length

Any help (including where to buy them as I only have one) very much appreciated.

I can’t help with your question, but maybe the Technical section will get you more interest than it did in GG.

An ER collet would have a 16 degree taper - you could check that to see if you can rule them out.

They look same as mine - if so I think they’re proprietary to the Peatol mini mill.

Mill is here - http://www.jeffree.co.uk/Peatol/mill.html

Thank you. I was thinking of converting a suitable collet chuck to fit my ROLL mini lathe, but am now converting a chuck that holds much larger collets.
If you are interested in buying the twelve collets, please send me a PM .
