Best oil to use

Whatever oil meets the standards that the manufacturer requires. It should be in the handbook.
Oil is one of those controversial ones, but tbh I'm of the opinion that as long as it meets the required standard, and you change it often enough, it doesn't really matter.
I quite like halfords branded oil when it's on sale.
Normally I'd say stick to the intervals stated in the book too, but for my car GM stated 18,000 miles, or every 2 years. I just change the oil annually (roughly 6k atm). I wouldn't want to leave it 2 years though.
