About to replace all the fuel lines and wondering what is the modern perceived wisdom regarding clips / clamps.........Jubilee style, double ear, mini (nut and bolt) clamps or other? The hose will be Gates Barricade and it is going on a 1975 carburettor car.

Thanks in advance

No great pressure on a carb setup.

So the clips just need to hold the pipe secure, and there should be a flare on the metal pipe, so the clip sits past that.

I know the clips as fuel pipe clips, but nut and bolt type sounds right. Depending on the bore, the very small jubilee clips should do.

Worm drive are the worst so avoid those, the nut and bolt type are much better, obviously crimp type are one use only...

Just regular wire spring clamps of the appropriate size should do. Less risk of damaging the pipe or overtightening vs jubilee clips.

If access is difficult you can get pliers with a remote cable mechanism. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3AVjjL2nXU

I use what's sometimes called "double ear" or "O" clips, or even "Double ear O clips" and I just call them "lemon clips".

Use them on Calor, Oxy-Act, heating oil, & petrol. Certainly wouldn't use Jubilee type screw clips.

Thanks to all of the above for their input.............once the fuel pipe turns up and I can measure the external diameter then the mini / nut & bolt clips will be ordered. The decider was the comment about ease of road side repair...............as it is a TVR that struck a chord!!!

Whilst I like SS for its anti corrosion properties it's not very strong so they can easily be stripped if you're not careful.

Far more important than ease of roadside maintenance is making a permanent joint.

Wasn't it old MG's (amongst others) that used to catch fire?

Just my opinion
